Osh Bazaar
This is a real oriental bazaar, you will not see this anywhere else, because it is the bazaar that reflects the true character and flavor of the nation. Osh Bazaar is not just the largest and richest shopping center in the city, but also the embodiment of all the legends about the ancient east. When you enter this bazaar, you seem to find yourself in the past; here, like many years ago, it would seem that nothing has changed, the market is crowded with people, enveloping buyers in a cloud of spicy aromas. What's missing here! Dozens of unique spices and seasonings: basil, dill, parsley, coriander, celery, onion, garlic, thyme, cumin, red and black pepper, dried tomatoes, barberry, black cumin, bunium, sesame. About six dozen varieties and varieties of herbs and spices can be counted on the shelves. Sellers vied with each other to offer sultanas and dried apricots, almonds and pistachios, walnuts and peanuts.
In the fruit and vegetable aisles at any time of the year, your eyes widen from the abundance and variety of goods. But the oriental bazaar is especially impressive in summer and autumn. Everything that Kyrgyz farmers have grown through their labors and cares now lies on the counters: ruddy apples and honeyed pears, clusters of black, pink and amber sweet grapes, peaches, prunes and yellow figs, carefully covered with green leaves, pomegranates with ruby grains, red orange persimmon. The mountains of huge watermelons and melons exuding a pineapple aroma are amazing.
